Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation to ensure a safe and hygienic living environment.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medications as directed by a licensed nurse.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily care activities and update care plans accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current California State Certified Nursing Assistant license (or equivalent) is required.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
