Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Clinical Assistance: Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and safely.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and clean instruments between patients.
- Record Keeping: Manage patient records, update charts, and verify insurance information.
- Patient Education: Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Nebraska Dental Assistant license (or ability to obtain one).
- Certification: CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
