Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: suctioning, instrument transfer, and four-handed dentistry
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Manage patient flow and chair turnover between appointments
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate treatment plans with administrative team
- Assist in inventory management and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Dental Assistant License or DANB certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Carestream)
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
