Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Adhere to all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for efficient workflow management
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
