Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone or secure video to determine acuity levels.
- Provide medical advice, treatment recommendations, and appropriate triage instructions.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments and referring to appropriate specialists.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions accurately in the EMR system.
- Stay updated on current clinical guidelines and best practices for triage protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
