Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with over-the-counter product recommendations and general inquiries.
- Ensure strict adherence to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist and nursing staff to resolve medication discrepancies.
- Process insurance claims and manage payment transactions.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification.
- Valid Massachusetts State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
