Responsibilities

  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
  • Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervisor.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring they maintain a healthy diet.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment by performing light cleaning duties.
  • Transportation: Drive clients to and from medical appointments, shopping centers, and social events using your own vehicle.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by the nursing supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
