Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments according to infection control protocols
- Support patients with emotional and social needs to enhance their quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent CNA experience in a healthcare setting
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
