Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the RN.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and ambulation to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including documentation of care plans and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests, providing emotional support and reassurance.
Qualifications
- Current and active OK CNA License (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
