Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under nurse supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure patient safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Support patient education and emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
