Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient condition, and care activities
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent injuries
- Support patient hygiene needs and maintain clean, safe patient environments
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to implement individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Compassionate approach to patient care and teamwork focus
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
