Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols using OSHA standards
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and insurance verification
- Take dental X-rays and develop high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain inventory and order dental supplies while controlling costs
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (or RDA status)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and dental software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification and willingness to maintain
