Key Responsibilities
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care. Your daily tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and treatment areas.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) accurately and efficiently using digital technology.
- Chairside Assisting: Prepare instruments and materials for procedures and hand them to the dentist as needed.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts, schedule appointments, and process insurance claims.
- Patient Education: Explain post-treatment care instructions and oral hygiene practices to patients and their families.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Radiography certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant in a general dentistry setting.
- Licensure: Valid state dental assisting license.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and excellent chairside assisting techniques.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Reliability: Punctual, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
