Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Monitor vital signs and document client health status
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Light housekeeping tasks including laundry and tidying
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer prescribed medications under supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Maryland Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Compassionate demeanor and patience working with vulnerable populations
