Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage inventory with automated systems
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication reconciliation
- Train new technicians on pharmacy software and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile/non-sterile compounding procedures
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
