Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing workflows including data entry, verification, and insurance coordination
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient inquiries and resolving medication-related concerns
- Maintain strict inventory control and pharmacy regulatory compliance standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care coordination
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription management and documentation
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and supporting pharmacy operations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Rx30, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly explain medication instructions
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in medication preparation and documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance
- Basic math skills for compounding and dosage calculations
