Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls and determine medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide expert clinical guidance and triage advice to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Manage high-volume call center operations during peak hours
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TJC, and state nursing regulations
- Delicate patient education on appropriate care pathways and resources
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX) with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EHR or similar triage documentation systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, fast-paced environments
