Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information for third-party billing
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation per regulatory standards
- Assist with prescription compounding and sterile product preparation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
