Responsibilities
- Assist Surgeons: Provide comprehensive assistance during surgical procedures, anticipating needs and passing instruments with precision.
- Preparation: Set up operating rooms with required instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to surgery, ensuring all sterile conditions are met.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to any changes during the procedure.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of surgical supplies and restock rooms as needed.
- Decontamination: Properly sterilize and process surgical instruments according to hospital protocols.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the surgical team, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) or Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Licensure: Active State of Wisconsin Surgical Technician license.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain strict sterile field and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
- Remote Capability: Ability to work in a hybrid or remote capacity for administrative tasks and case review.
