Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Process and transport laboratory specimens ensuring chain-of-custody integrity
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Provide compassionate patient care with exceptional communication skills
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, OSHA standards, and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient flow
- Train new staff on phlebotomy techniques and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Nevada State Phlebotomy License (or ability to obtain immediately)
