Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA regulations
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Provide patient care with empathy during stressful procedures
- Document collections in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Current Nevada Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal discomfort to patients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with high patient volume
- Basic computer proficiency for EHR documentation
