Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placements and cosmetic treatments
- Manage digital radiography (CBCT/Panorex) and intraoral imaging systems
- Oversee infection control protocols and sterilization of advanced equipment
- Lead patient education on post-operative care and preventive dentistry
- Coordinate treatment planning with specialists and manage digital records
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Train junior staff on new dental technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in Hawaii
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general/specialty dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software (e.g., Dentrix Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification and radiology safety training
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems and digital impression workflows
- Exceptional patient communication skills in diverse cultural settings
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced specialty environments
