Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the best patient outcomes.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and interpret them accurately.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and update patient medical records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms and reception area.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
