Job Overview
In this high-impact role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our clinical departments while delivering outstanding patient service. We value reliability, precision, and a warm bedside manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments prior to patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside support and four-handed dentistry.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventative dental health.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards at all times.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and process insurance claims accurately.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure a seamless patient flow and experience.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Radiography (CDA or RDA) preferred.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
