Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and activities to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Mobility Support: Assist with transferring, walking, and using mobility aids safely.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Valid CNA or HHA certification from the State of DC.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or caregiving is preferred.
- License: Current Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical: Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
