Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing cycles for 150+ daily patient encounters
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims with 95% first-pass accuracy
- Resolve complex billing disputes and denials within 48 hours
- Conduct monthly audits of charge capture and coding documentation
- Train staff on new CPT/ICD-10 coding updates and billing protocols
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports for executive leadership
- Collaborate with compliance team to ensure HIPAA/FDA regulatory adherence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with multi-specialty practices
- Expert certification in CPC, COC, or CCS-P
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth EHR systems
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 30%+
- Deep knowledge of Nevada Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- Spanish fluency required for patient communication
