Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and CLIA regulations regarding specimen collection and handling.
- Demonstrate exceptional patient interaction skills, explaining procedures with empathy and clarity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent state licensure required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record (EHR) entry.
