Responsibilities
- Assess and triage incoming patients using standardized protocols to determine urgency of care
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems with exceptional attention to detail
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions using advanced clinical judgment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
- Lead training sessions for new triage protocols and emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BSN or higher degree from accredited nursing program
- Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications
- Demonstrated expertise in rapid patient assessment and prioritization
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth technologies
- Proven ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Experience developing triage protocols and quality improvement initiatives
