Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to patients.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate dosage.
- Assist the pharmacist in the compounding, dispensing, and packaging of medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and restock pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Process insurance claims and communicate with patients regarding prescription status.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
