Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, process, and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to ensure safety.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls, processing insurance claims, and resolving patient inquiries.
- Prepare prescriptions for pick-up and ensure all labeling is correct and legible.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
