Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with high precision and patient comfort.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure a positive experience.
- Label, log, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and laboratory safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and notify management of shortages.
Qualifications
- Valid ASCP or CPT certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification must be current.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
