Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care and support with mobility, including transferring and walking.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, including conversation and recreational activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Home Care Aide (HCA) certification required.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
