Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
  • Vital Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by the supervising nurse.
  • Medication Assistance: Remind patients to take their prescribed medications on time and report any adverse reactions to the clinical team.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients by performing light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage patients in conversation, games, or activities to promote mental well-being and combat isolation.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and incident reports to ensure accurate medical records.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification: Current Texas State Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home care or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for client travel.
