Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Monitor and report changes in patient health, mood, or behavior to the nursing team.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and accompany on errands as needed.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and remind patients to take their doses.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) frequently throughout the shift.
