Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and document administration accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's overall well-being.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities as needed.
- Perform catheter and incontinence care as trained and directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; CNA or HHA certification is preferred.
- Current, valid state licensure as a CNA or HHA.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
