Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed to maintain a clean living environment.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings, providing transportation and companionship.
- Administer prescribed medications and remind patients to take their medications on schedule.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, alleviating feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
- Current, valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting patients.
- Clean background check and drug screen required.
