Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and changing bed linens.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Transport patients to medical appointments and run errands.
- Document care plans and daily activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond to patient emergencies and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
