Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene and dignity.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises to help patients maintain their independence.
- Monitor and accurately report changes in a patient’s physical condition, behavior, or symptoms to the nursing supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the patient's care plan.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is highly preferred (training available).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and assist patients with mobility as required.
- A valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is a plus.
