Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene and dignity.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises to help patients maintain their independence.
  • Monitor and accurately report changes in a patient’s physical condition, behavior, or symptoms to the nursing supervisor.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental well-being.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is highly preferred (training available).
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and assist patients with mobility as required.
