Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders and accurately document vital signs and patient progress.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or for errands.
- Monitor patient health and promptly report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for client travel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
