Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Companionship: Provide conversation, emotional support, and accompany clients on outings.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of care provided and client condition.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care or long-term care preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are often required for home visits.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen actively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- CPR/First Aid: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
