Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient health, behavior, or physical condition to the RN or supervisor.
- Medication Management: Support clients in taking prescribed medications as directed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks essential to the client's well-being, such as meal preparation and laundry.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs and care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel to client homes.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
