Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Support: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with light daily tasks related to health management.
- Companionship: Provide social interaction and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients move safely around their home using provided mobility aids and equipment.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up to ensure a safe living environment.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient progress and daily activities in care logs as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; certification as a CNA or CHHA is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
