Your Role
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Your dedication will ensure they live with dignity and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure optimal comfort and dignity.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse reactions or changes in health status.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely around their home, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and assisting with walking.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Household Support: Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing linens.
- Communication: Keep families and supervisors informed regarding the client's daily status and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current California CNA, HHA, or PCA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in home care or a clinical setting preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and transfer patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
