Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and dignity.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing, to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social events as required.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is preferred; however, compassionate candidates without certification will be considered with on-the-job training.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and health assessment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
