Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff and document all treatments.
- Communicate changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the charge nurse or healthcare provider immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
