Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report abnormalities to nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Foster a therapeutic environment by communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Georgia.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a strong ethical foundation.
