Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take their medications and report any changes in health or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living spaces.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Track and report changes in client mood, appetite, or physical condition to the case manager.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Tennessee Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required to travel to client homes.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help seniors.
