Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely in and out of bed, walk, or use wheelchairs.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed by the nurse.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation according to dietary needs.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Vital Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Wisconsin Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) license.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
