Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation to ensure a safe living environment.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs and daily activities.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current State Certification as a Home Health Aide or CNA is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
