Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and report any changes in their health or medication adherence to the nurse.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying up.
- Companionship: Engage in social activities, listen to client concerns, and provide emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices such as walkers and wheelchairs.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and care plans to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Training: Must be willing to participate in our paid training program to obtain necessary certifications (CNA, HHA, or equivalent).
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred, as transportation to client homes is often required.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods while assisting clients.
